Friday evening: no game, so a quiet night in with
ravenlas.
Saturday: shul (finally! And I spoke with the Rabbi, and no, he won't send me down to the Beth Din. *sigh*) and a late lunch at the Balloon Tree Farm Shop cafe, followed by a trip to the designer outlet for
ravenlas to return a pair of boots where some stitching was coming away. And for some reason, everything I said went down the wrong way. Feh. He still took me out to dinner at Gert and Henry's, which was lovely.
Sunday: bit of a grumpy start to the day;
ravenlas woke me out of a dream, so my head was well and truly stuffed for the first couple of hours. The grump was his, at my getting upset that he wasn't coming to the gym. As I said, my head was Not There. Anyway, in the ensuing search for his trainers and nano, I inadvertently cleaned the bathroom, tidied up the spare bedroom (all those bags of wool cloth we brought back from his parents' house), cleaned the velux window, cleaned out the ottoman and finally put away all the spare bedlinen, and thus decided I didn't need to go to the gym. We got the sofa-bed out onto the top of the attic stairs (with a bit of kicking, pushing and thumping), and decided the previous owners had *definitely* got it up there before putting up the handrail. There was no way it was going down in one piece.
Cue much cackling and hand-rubbing. One jigsaw, hammer, stanley knife, 2 chisels and a pair of scissors later, and by 2:30pm it was outside in pieces, ready to go to the tip. It was evil and smelly, and I didn't like it, and I'm glad it's gone. The room looks so much bigger without it looming in the corner! So, finally, my inner and outer dragons are *almost* aligned! (Don't ask.) Anyway, a quick bite of lunch and a shower later, and we took Te Evil to the tip, popped into town, and inadvertently bought a decent futon bed with memory foam matress. It should arrive at the shop on the 14th, and we can either pick it up, or get it delivered.
Home again, and much folding of washing and hanging up more washing, and then cooking, then finally, at very long last, I got to do some dressmaking for my course. At 8pm. *sigh* So, one of my coat pockets is on, and the other one, I'm unpicking. With luck, I'll get it sorted tonight. There's still *so much* to do, it's quite overwhelming. :( I'll keep on picking away at it, I suppose...
And today? Well, I got 8 done on the cryptic crossword. Must be the Right Setter. Yay!
