Humbug

I've finally finished catching up with lj and what folks have been up to over the past week.

To those of you who have had good times and good fortune, yay for you. To those of you waiting for job news, my fingers are well and truly crossed for you and I hope you all find fantastic and well-paid jobs. Or at least jobs which don't drive you up the wall or into penury.

To those of you who have had bad news, my sympathies go with you. I'm here if any of you want company or support or to rant (although adding the lurgy to your ills is not a good idea). I hope things improve soon.

And to those of you who are stressed out, you also have my sympathy, and if any of you wish to borrow my voodoo doll, I'll see if I can dig it out. Ooh, I wonder... when the irritation is a workplace, could one do voodoo on it by making a replica in lego? Hmmm...

I got a new kettle to replace the one which has died quite mysteriously. Power was getting to the 'on' switch, but it just wasn't getting hot. And since the new kettle boils far faster, and doesn't spill water everywhere when I try to pour faster than quite slowly, I'm quite happy with it. And I got some more crockery and cutlery in anticipation of my dishwasher.
