Although, to the best of my knowledge, I'm not. Known by many names, that is. And the whole known by other people bit is just dodgy. Maybe it should just be 'I'm known by a few different names, and lots of people have made my acquaintance' or something like that...

If you call me Ellen, you could be anyone.
If you call me Miss Phillips, you're trying to sell me something, and I'm not interested.
If you call me Mrs Phillips, that's my mum.
If you call me strange little creature, you're ravenlas.
If you call me stump, you're Marcus, and you're a mutant freak.
If you call me anything else, let me know cos I'm curious.

I take umbrage with this as it denotes possession. I do not, will not and indeed cannot 'own' anyone. Otherwise I'm sure el will raise any objections she has to being referred to as a bit of strumpet, odds anyone? :)

Corsets are great. I'd like to get one of the really long period ones, that goes right down to your hips, rather than the quite short ones I've already got. Which are fun, but in a different way.
