Email hiccups

I keep getting the message:

The mail server mta1-svc:25 could not be contacted. Your message has not been sent.

So if I haven't replied to an email today, that's why. I'm *getting* messages, but I can't send them. Ho hum, should concentrate on getting a little work done, I suppose.

Port 25 is outgoing mail.

Incoming mail will be on either port 25 on your own machine (not mta1-svc), port 110 on the server (for POP) or some other wierd ports (for Micro$oft Exchange or IMAP)

Ah, but it's not on *my* machine afaik - it's tesco.net webmail in ie, so it's going through whatever they're using. And it was working this morning...

My work email, Outlook, works just fine, but I'm not keen on using it for personal emails.
