Today is my work's Christmas lunch. So in an hour or so, we'll be heading out to the Devonshire Cat, for food and pints and quizzes and fun. We're not coming back to work, either. *heh*
Following that shining example of slackerdom, I will be heading back up to York to go to my writers' group. Which meets, yes, you guessed it, in the pub. Rar!
Alas, I can't get too ratted: I've got some parcels to wrap, and a picture to finish (necessitating fun with the sewing machine and spray adhesive, don't ask). Still, should be fun!
For reference: Thunder Moon is now at 28k, and I'm not cycling, apart from on the exercise bike, because I've managed to mislay my bike keys some time between Saturday night (when I unlocked my bike outside the Assembly Rooms) and Monday morning, when I scrambled round trying to find them and failed utterly. Humbug!
Plus: Casino Royale is a stomping film, and I enjoyed it very much. I really liked the lack of suavity! No Roger Moore hangups! Yay! And Pan's Labyrinth made me cry. It's fabulous. Evil Aliens made me laugh more than Shaun of the Dead, and has lots of pop culture references, including to Braindead. It's shamelessly gross, and there's lots of splatter. Plus, it has a valid use of 'I've got a Brand New Combine Harvester'. What more could you want?
