So I'm up.
It's one of life's cruel ironies that CFS also includes bouts of insomnia. I had a couple of hours' sleep last night, then woke up. My feet were hot. I needed a drink. You know, the usual stuff which makes for wriggly, restless, long, awake nights. And I dozed, and
ravenlas snored, and I came downstairs and got a bit more sleep on the sofa.
Bah.
Humbug.
*not impressed*
I'm going back to my slushpiles until I've woken up enough to start writing. I have tea.
Oh, on the plus side? I worked out how to remodel the downstairs. I tells ya, my brain on sleep deprivation? Is awesome.
Bah.
Weight: Don't know, don't care. Exercise: !!! Alcohol: Not at this time in the morning, thanks. Tea: intravenous.

Date: 2008-09-14 09:29 am (UTC)From:*heh* LJ procrastination? No idea what you mean... *whistles innocently* It helps that I write pretty damn clean first drafts, which is something I'm very thankful for because actually I'm bone idle and would far rather read slashfic and procrastinate on LJ, and if I can get away with minimal rewriting, so much the better. And it also helps that I don't think I need this to be as good as it could possibly be, because that way lies 40 years of rewriting the same thing and never getting anywhere. I'm well aware that I've learned a lot about writing since I wrote the first draft, and were I to write it now it'd be done differently. But this is what I wrote then, and it doesn't suck, and if I can just tighten it up a little and fix the ending, it's something I can send out into the big wide world with a scarf and a hat and a packed lunch and be happy that it's okay to stand on its own two feet and find its own way while I'm finishing the second half of Thunder Moon. :)
Best of luck with the thesis - I'm glad it's coming together. And best of luck with the non-procrastination. :) Be ace to see you once you're out the other side of it all!

I'm looking forward to emerging from my hermitage when all this is over, and seeing people again! :)
