Happy Jesus Year, [livejournal.com profile] ravenlas! Happy Birthday, Kate! Belated happies to [livejournal.com profile] thirstypixel!

This weekend was largely spent in a state of OMG! I'm TIRED! Which meant I still did things, just fewer and more slowly.

Friday night: no game. Vegged at home with [livejournal.com profile] ravenlas. Saturday I made it into town, did a bit of shopping, sat in VJs and chatted and ate and chatted some more and wrote, then took the best part of an hour to walk home, thanks to my legs deciding that this walking lark was just Too Much Effort. Stopped for a minute near Sainsbury's to talk with a freezing policeman to ask why it was all cordoned off.

'Suspicious package. See those lights over there? That's the bomb squad dealing with it.'

Thus making [livejournal.com profile] ravenlas smugly happy, since he'd called it correctly from half way down the street, having spent his formative years avoiding being blown up in NI.*

We made it (after I had collapsed onto the sofa for 3 hours) to one birthday party, but not, alas, to the other, so many apologies. Had I been running at my usual speed, I'd have got there and stayed a while, but running at the speed of slooooow it was rather beyond me. :(

Sunday was a restful day of: drying laundry at the launderette, doing the shopping, dropping recycling at the tip (the things which won't go in the kerbside collection, such as batteries, foil, etc), taking a chest of drawers over to Leeds, and going to boxercise with [livejournal.com profile] alasdair1076 and Kate.

Al says he can see why my twin was scared of me as a kid. Who'd have thought whaling on my best friend could be so much fun?! Hurrah! I think I rather enjoy boxing. Well, boxercise. I wouldn't mind training up a bit. *grin*

Early night, more sleep - today I'm not quite so tired, not quite so slow. Which is good, because I'm going to go home and cook a birthday dinner for my beloved husband, and maybe build the chest to go with the drawers that are already built.

And in the meantime, the wonderful and talented [livejournal.com profile] ru_salki99 is making me smile because she has taken my comment** about a Buy More black market in John Casey DVDs and put together a stonkingly good fanvid for it.

*He was, twice. And in addition to being shot, stabbed, glassed, broken many bones and *still* being freak flypaper (usually for aggressive freaks), this makes me conclude that I am, in fact, married to James Bond. Or a ninja. Or some other superhero. Or, in fact, a cat. This makes me very happy. Apart from the last one, which is just downright weird.

**The link goes to my [livejournal.com profile] the_proofreader account, to a fanfic which is still in progress and is in no way SFW. If explicit m/m fanfic isn't to your taste, don't take the red pill click the damn link.
