Day 6: I had the slow and stupid, so I forgot to post and now I don't remember much about the day, so... The sofa! My husband! Oh, I had characters talking in my head, keeping me up. Which is good from a writing perspective, but scarily close to a mental disorder, otherwise.
Day 7: Also slow and stupid, erm... Fringe. Elbow. The wonderful
alasdair1076 for pointing me at io9.com for pointing at a fanfic rec site for pointing me at...
Day 8:
paian! Whose SG1 fic is outstandingly good and has given my story-junkie self such a great hit that I am buzzing - I have been mainlining fic today and as a consequence Words are In My Head and I really shouldn't drive when I have internal commentary set to 'on' because I can't concentrate on the road as well as I should. Also Brett and
greynolds who I saw this evening, having driven, and who are wonderful friends and part of the reason why I live in York and why it's such an incredible city to live in. At this point, I should say that since I was driving, I was on orange juice, and now I am home I have made kiddush - another thing which made me happy today - and have had a only couple of sips of wine. My buzz, you see! Not alcohol! Words are addictive and contagious.
All the way through, it's clear to me that what makes me consistently happy is
ravenlas. His love and support and humour and general shininess and all-round awesome ninjaness.
So, give me my husband, my friends, love and wine and words and an internet connection and I am the happiest of hobbits (short, hairy, I believe in breakfast and second breakfast and elevenses and lunch and high tea and dinner and supper and snacks, big feet - clearly, they are My Tribe). I love you guys. Shabbat Shalom. You rock my tiny little world.
