Just in case any of you are interested.
Terry Chapman is a director of a very small, friendly software company in Doncaster. (I know him because we catch the same train on a morning.) Of 5 programmers, 4 are musicians, several
are into martial arts, and a couple are into fast cars. The average age of people working there is in the mid-thirties. They're nice people. And they're looking for more nice people
to come work for them.
So if anyone is interested in applying for one of the jobs, read the info from Terry, below.

Fastrack Software produce point-of-sale systems for the automotive industry, handling all elements of a purchase from initial enquiry through to handover including, for example, vehicle configuration and electronic submission of finance proposals.
Systems are written in SQL Server 2000, VB6 (COM, COM+ and WebClass), HTML and JavaScript, and delivered via IE6. We are looking for people with a strong background in either VB or SQL, who also have some exposure to internet technologies. All employees are encouraged, and sponsored, to gain Microsoft accreditation. We will be looking to port to .NET towards the end of this year.
If interested, please send an e-mail quoting reference FT/0407-3, with attached CV, to terry.

Thanks to Jo for a wonderful night out on Friday. The Royal Dragon does good food, even if it has a penchant for stuffing prawns in all available starters. ;) Ta muchly to Andy for alerting me to the presence of the Muppets boxed set in the HMV sale; I am now the proud owner of the very last copy they had. *big grin* Which I will be happy to lend out to people. And a big *helloooo!* to the many other folks who turned out to the meal it was great to see you all.
Watched more Buffy over the weekend, failed to go to Shul or to Makro or indeed to Orgasmic for lunch on Sunday. :( But I did get a whole load of dandelions dug out of the lawn, and I encountered an ants nest, which Jerry burned out. Then I burned out some more, just to make sure. It's not the whole ants nest, which will extend for quite some considerable distance under the gardens to either side of mine. But it was a nursery and full of flying ants, which are a Bad ThingTM, so I don't feel overly bad about the slaughter. I will probably come back as an ant in my next life. *shrug*
Sunday evening was spent in the good company of
evieb, Stuart,
smorgasbord,
lucius101,
ravenlas and Elaine, doing final bits of character gen and getting to know backgrounds, etc, before the Werewolf game gets under way for real in a couple of weeks.
