• Wed, 19:15: Just had a call from my dad to say Stan Barstow's died. He was a friend of my dad's since the 1950s and always had time for us kids.
• Wed, 19:16: Stan Barstow was also one of the UK's truly great writers, with A Kind of Loving made into film. RIP, Stan. We'll miss you.

• Wed, 23:14: Didn't sleep at all last night. Have washed & dried several laundry-loads, made it to town to post stuff, get dog bones, etc, done shopping.
• Wed, 23:16: Fed Planck, hoovered, unstacked & stacked the dishwasher, replied to some emails, slept for an hour, read. I think it's time for bed.
• Wed, 23:18: Tomorrow: refill bird feeders, hang out washing, wash the dog bed cover, tidy out my office upstairs, shift my monitor back upstairs.
• Wed, 23:19: Or, yanno, sleep. Good night, all. *group hug*
• Thu, 11:00: I've 2 laundry loads waiting to go out on the line & a 3rd just started in the washing machine. So of course it just started chucking down.
