Went climbing again last night with James and Elaine (wanolj) and
ravenlas. My elbow still hurt a bit from climbing with
john_hat, so I took it easy. I did a new (pink) 3+ to start with; the most difficult bit was deciding which of the plethora of holds to use. *grin* I led a 4, which was quite easy, so next time I'll lead something a bit harder. Then I did a 6a, which James led. He laybacked it; the clip-in points are about a meter to the right of the route most of the way up. Top-roped, I went straight up it, and found it far easier than any 6a has a right to be. Elaine said I must be exactly the right height for it. *shrug*
ravenlas called the police when we got home - a couple of guys were hanging around an empty house a few doors down. It looked like one was keeping watch and the other was trying to get in the back. I don't know if they burgled the house, but the police hadn't turned up by the time I went to bed around 11:30.
And here's a bizarre story for you... and another. Gosh.
This lunchtime we're off on a company walk to Meadowhell down the tow-path. Should be a nice walk. I just wish I were wearing better shoes.
