Well, it seems like it's a quiet day here on LJ, so I thought I'd post, but it's not terribly interesting. I went climbing on Tuesday with Chris and
john_hat at lunchtime and in the evening at The Edge. It was fun, but I wasn't on best form.
I was off work on Wednesday and Thursday for Sukkot. My sister came over to visit, and we looked at bathrooms and went around the Designer Outlet. Services were fun, and I got to see lots of wonderful people.
ravenlas headed off to Switzerland with Marcus and Adam (wanolj) for this oriental sword-fighting course. I've had a couple of text messages to say he's got there ok, and to say the entire town is zombie-proofing, and they're expecting the attack to begin soon. Sounds like a fun time being had by all. Trust zombies to attack a town hosting a sword-fighting course... *grin*
Went climbing on Thursday evening with James (winolj) at the Leeds Wall. Fared better than in Sheffield, but my elbows hurt. So I must remember not to lock them out... My technique's getting a whole heap better, which is good.
Tried to get documents faxed through to Nat West from one of their branches - apparently that fax was engaged all afternoon, so they didn't get through. Haven't got out to try again from a Sheffield branch, and I'm off on the Banshee bus tomorrow so I can't then. :( I may call them this aft to find out if they have another fax line...
I put in a Tesco's order last night - yay! They'll be delivering this evening. Finished reading the latest Jasper Fforde, 'Something Rotten' - it's truly excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've lent the first 3 to my sister, though, so if anyone wants to borrow them, they'll have to wait a while.
Most of you know about it already, but please visit the Hunger Site and click daily to help give food to needy people and animals, get medicine to children, give mammograms, and save the rain forest. And they have very funky socks for sale which don't cost a fortune.
Anyone got any decent Friday distractions?
