It's been quite a week!
ravenlas for John and Olivia's wedding. It was the most moving and heartfelt wedding! It was wonderful, and I'm very happy they've finally gone and got married. *happy dance*
Saturday, I made it to shul, then came home, ate, and went back to bed for 4 hours. With Leo. Who pinched my hot cherrystone pillow - I woke up to find he was curled up on the duvet over it. ;-) Happy cat! Then in the evening was John and Olivia's party, at Orgasmic. It was lovely to see people there, and the food, as always, was lovely. The upstairs was opened up to the general public around 8pm, and the music kicked off, so it became very loud and busy. So (almost) everyone came back to my house, which was fantastic.
ravenlas and I walked out of town, and were caught up with by
palmersperry. John and Olivia arrived by taxi just as we got home, so between us, we managed to clear out all the piles of stuff from the living room in around 10 minutes flat, just in time for everyone else to turn up. It was a great party, and it was really nice to have so many people round. A good time seemed to be had by most people, and there was even an engagement, much to everyone's surprise. (Not mine, alas, but I'll get to wear my dress some day! ;-)
So today has been a bit of tidying up, some washing, and stacking stuff in the dishwasher, and will be filled with recording the classic play on radio 4 (adapted by a family friend), and with watching the We Are Not Alone films all day on channel 5. And with more monkeywork. Yay...
