Car stuff

Thanks to Terry for yesterday's Metro article, and again for this link on how to dance gothic - I have a company director at a computer behind me, but even the sneaky peek I took at the site gave me trouble holding in giggles.

Typing of newspaper articles, I read a letter in the paper saying that someone's son had been on a cross-country train and been offered free drinks. To make up for only having 1 working toilet on the train. The mind boggles...

Car has been written off - they reckon £1800 to fix. I think that includes a lot that doesn't need doing to make it roadworthy, but there's enough left to do that it really isn't worth repairing. I think I'm going to wait (and hold off worries from my Dad about not having transport) until I can afford something that actually has a security system. The annoying part is that the insurance company won't refund any of the car insurance for the 9 months left on it, and I've lost my 1 year no claims bonus.

Life is really busy right now - much to do. Ho hum...

That sucks rocks regarding the car. Of course, living in a country with an actual reasonable public transport system, you are not quite as stuck as someone would be here in Texas.
