The bathroom is now covered in plasterboard which is actually straight all the way up, unlike the walls behind it. I don't envy plasterers - the art of plastering must surely involve sacrificing small rodents to dark gods... If anyone is contemplating having some plastering done and wants to come and judge the quality of the work, feel free to call round.
The loo is plumbed in until a week on Thursday. Yay! This is because the tiler isn't coming til a week on Friday, with luck with the tiles in tow.
An unexpected discovery could yield a full spectrum solar cell. Apparently that would up the efficiency of solar cells to around 66% - a vast increase on where they are now. I wonder... Would covering the poles with solar cells during the summer months help to stop the ice-caps melting?
I have done much since posting last week - been in
gaxx's game (still not dead yet), cycled out to Birch Park, then back to Topps Tiles, then out to Rawcliffe to Tile With Style (very good place, I recommend it lots) where they gave me a discount because Bob from Ceramica Tiling let them know I'd be cycling out there for tiles and they give him a discount because he uses them lots. ;-) Then a quick trip into town, then home and some cooking, grabbed a shower at Next Generation gym, then out to Fleur's 30th birthday do (nice to see people!) with
john_hatt, then home to bed. And then Sunday I cycled a load of tile waste and ex-laminate-flooring round to the tip, came home, grabbed a shower at Next Generation gym again, then out to curry at one of
ravenlas's colleagues. That was so nice! I was stuffed! Then home, and we knocked all the remaining tiles off the walls, then I did some dressmaking work. Monday I worked from home because of the plasterers, then Simon called round and talked website things with me, and we played with the dancemat to such classics as 'Show Me The Way To Amarillo'. Much fun! Yesterday, more work, much sleepiness, today, not quite so much sleepiness so far, meh. Tonight will be dressmaking, trains willing, and tomorrow I get to pick up a car from Enterprise and drive down to Sheffield. I'll be having a filling at lunchtime, and then it'll be the start of the latest shiny brain course in Bradford; the GIT. It'll also be
ravenlas's 30th birthday. So there you go.
