Yesterday,
ravenlas and I headed off down to Ryton-on-Dunsmore for the Re-enactors' Market, with a brief stop off in Nottingham to pick up
fire_kitten and see her gorgeous new house. *very envious*
I now have a pair of medieval boots, a puritan hat, and (courtesy of my beloved), a horn plate, spoon and comb and a pair of leather gauntlets. I *could* have spent an absolute fortune, had we won the lottery on Wednesday, but alas, that was not to be.
ravenlas came back with three new Del Tin swords to add to his collection. *heh* It was a great day, and we got to catch up with friends, but it was a very long day (got home - via Tesco's) at 8:30pm having left 13 hours previously. Meh.
Anyway, thanks to that, not much food, and half a bottle of wine, I slept soundly (apart from a 2:30 'fuss me' call from Sebastian, who got taken back downstairs and shut in the living room) and woke up at 7:30 this morning, which is almost unheard of for a Sunday morning. I couldn't sleep any longer, so I went swimming instead, tidied up the living room and the kitchen... And then...
There was snow! *squee*
And my friends Steve & Lesley came round and fussed the cat lots, and it was lovely to see them. So now, back to dressmaking. And maybe more snow. *looks out of the window hopefully at the big grey clouds*
Just for
fire_kitten,
( today's porridge recipe: )
