So, Christmas was nice. Alas, I woke up at 3am this morning to go to the loo and didn't manage to get back to sleep again. On the upside, I've most of the presents wrapped, including the fox cowls for my nieces. On the downside, I'll be heading out shortly along with my parents-in-law for the drive to Belfast City Airport to pick them up.

A quick photo: )

Very silly, a little sad, and as always, utterly awesome. *beam*

Wouldn't be Christmas without it. :)

Very nicely done. Ty Russell T.

I took [livejournal.com profile] ravenlas off to London this weekend for his birthday. Which was the weekend before, in case you were wondering. (And yes, he'd pretty much forgotten about it, and doesn't tell anyone about it.)

Details, Schmetails! )

So that was the weekend. [livejournal.com profile] alasdair1076 called me. I have Torchwood squeeeee! Awesome! Utterly, uttely awesome.

If anyone has a muppet icon I could use - you know, where they run around in circles waving their arms above their heads - that's me right now.

Squeeeeee!

My work PC - still quite new - is a wee bit buggered1. It's probably a motherboard problem. Which means that I'm using my Tablet PC to get some work done. And that *gasp* has no internet access at work. It's also not on our network. Meh. *shrug* I'm using a colleague's PC to have a quick look at my email, but I can't sit here all afternoon reading LJ. Damn! So I shall be doing my best to catch up tonight, but between sewing an outfit for Tewkesbury and going to writing group (remember: at the Golden Fleece tonight), I may not have enough time...

I'm suffering from Doctor Who fanfic withdrawal...

Anyway, the Doncaster line (and station) were open finally this morning. Coming in, it was painfully obvious where the rivers had flooded. Some of the mud-lines on trees and hillsides were incredibly high. I'm very glad I got out of Sheffield and Doncaster last Monday when I did - could very easily have been one of the stranded.

Wot I did stuff: Friday - a spot of D&D; Saturday - drove down to just north of Nottingham so [livejournal.com profile] ravenlas could pick up a medieval tent (from Past Tents), lunch at VJs, paid off half the remaining balance on his wedding ring, knitted, watched Doctor Who *squee*, went to [livejournal.com profile] st3v3 and [livejournal.com profile] cfw's party (through a rainstorm with amazing clouds) and knitted some more; Sunday - saw friends, hung out laundry, took it in again (repeat for the entire afternoon), edited a story, started making my shift; Monday - helped put up said tent with much grump and argh and grr, continued with shift.

1. That's a technical term.

It's over!

But oh, so funny! Doctor/Master crack macro. That's made my Friday, that has.

And do I need to say, NSFW? The pictures are, yes, but the macros? *fans self*

Doctor Who! Awesome! Squeeeee!

I can hear the fangirls slashing from here...

*beam*

Is it next Saturday yet, plz?

In other news, the house is emptier, the storage locker is almost full, and the bathroom is painted and has laminate down. I may have found a couple of wood beetle thingummies, though, so I'm going to have to get the guys from TimberTech back to have a look. And there's someone coming to view the house in the morning. *fingers crossed*
